Never miss a renewal deadline again
Many programs need you to renew on a schedule. A two-reminder system and proof-of-submission habit that keeps you covered.
Many assistance and coverage programs require you to renew or re-verify your information on a schedule. Missing the window can mean a gap, even when nothing about your situation changed.
Step 1: keep your address current
Renewal notices usually go to the mailing address the program has on file. If you move, update it with each program right away. This is the most common reason people never see the notice.
Step 2: find the date
Look at your last approval or renewal letter for the end date or next review date. If you cannot find it, ask the program, and write down who told you.
Step 3: set two reminders
Put one reminder about 30 days before the date and another about 7 days before. The first is to gather documents; the second is your last call to submit.
Step 4: submit early and keep proof
Send renewals as soon as you have what you need. Save the confirmation number, upload receipt or screenshot. If you mail it, consider a method with tracking and keep a copy of everything you sent.
Step 5: if you missed it
Contact the program quickly. Some programs have a grace period or a process to reinstate; the sooner you ask, the more options there usually are. Rules differ by program and state.
HelpNinja does not manage renewals or determine eligibility. Always follow the instructions from the program itself.
